Hi there, I'm Julia.
Everything you see here was designed and handcrafted by me with love and attention to detail.
I have been designing since receiving my first sewing machine for my 5th birthday and cannot imagine doing
anything else!
My passion lies within the intricate beauty of French laces and soft Italian silks.
Combining the two, for Couture-style loungewear has been a laborious love affair since 2015,
and I continue to make custom pieces for my clients.
However, a fresh new love has blossomed with repurposing vintage Japanese silk Kimono.
There is an otherworldly beauty within these silk treasures.
Each one carries a tale of heritage and legacy that captivates the senses and imagination.
Taking you back in time to a world of breathtaking beauty and craftsmanship.
I love combining the history of each Kimono silk with the everyday, wearable style of modern garments.
I take the time to hand-pick a Kimono print that matches perfectly with the plain silks.
Cutting and handcrafting each robe separately, results in every gown being totally unique.
Sustainability is a huge focus in my production, and I am always aiming for a zero-waste result.
The Italian silks I use are designer deadstock materials, which would otherwise be destined for landfills.
Because of this, once I'm out of a particular fabric, unfortunately, I am unable to repeat it.
All my packaging is 100% compostable and Biodegradable- yes, even the sticky tape!
Transport and shipping carbon emissions are 100% offset either by the shipping provider or through a tree-planting initiative that Seta Bella is proudly a part of.
